I’ve always been drawn to the idea of helping someone feel seen and represented in an image. I’m fascinated by what makes each person unique—and how they relate to their inner world and the one around them.
My name is Julio Bárcena, and I work with leaders, creators, and people with purpose.
My approach is direct, yet attentive. I look for the subtle details that often go unnoticed—those that reveal emotion, thought, and aspiration.

No. I’ll guide you throughout the session. Together, we’ll find the expressions that best communicate your personality or brand.

It depends on the type of session. Portrait sessions last around 3–4 hours. Headshot sessions take about 30 minutes. We always allow time for the unexpected—sometimes that’s when the magic happens.
I can help you select them in person, or you can do it online with feedback from me. We’ll choose the best ones together.
It’s not mandatory, but it’s highly recommended. A professional knows how to prepare your skin under studio lights. If you’d like, I can include this service.
One week after you’ve selected your final images. If you need them sooner, let’s talk—we can often speed things up.
That’s more common than you might think. I work with sensitivity and care to make sure you feel comfortable and truly seen in the images.
Yes. Your images will be optimized for various self-promotion platforms like LinkedIn, your website, press features or printed formats. If you have a specific use in mind, let me know before the shoot.
